Care
and Grooming: With their long shiny coats they need regular
brushing. Trimmed coats may need only weekly brushing. This breed
sheds little to no hair. They should also have regular teeth
cleanings.
Living
Environment: The Yorkshire Terrier is great dog for apartment
living. They will do fine without a yard, being rather active indoors.
This little dog prefers warm climates and can be sensitive to cold
weather.
Exercise
Needs: This little dog does not need a lot of exercise but it will
enjoy an occasional outing in warm weather.
Health
Issues: These dogs are prone to bronchitis, early tooth decay and
poor tolerance to anesthetics. They also have a delicate digestion so
rich treats should be avoided.
Life
Span: 12-15 years
